The Delhi Capitals team is in Jaipur practicing for their next match against the Rajasthan Royals. Rishabh Pant was seen working hard on his batting. During this, a funny interaction between the DC captain and RR’s star batter Jos Butler was captured.
Firstly, entering the practice session, Jos enquired about Pant’s health. The two talked about the ‘colourful Holi’ celebrations the RR team had earlier. Butler applauded Pant’s patience and fight back to return to the cricket ground. To which Pant said, during the ‘rehab’ period he learnt a lot about having patience. But Jos Butler cheekily replied ‘not at batting’ hinting at hard-hitting Pant’s style of play.
Rishabh Pant And Delhi Capitals Need A Win Against Rajasthan
Delhi Capitals welcomed Rishabh Pant with open arms after the wicketkeeper batter made a miraculous return to the cricket. In the opening game though his side struggled to overcome the Punjab Kings’ challenge and suffered a four-wicket loss at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Stadium. On the other hand, RR got off to a flying start as they beat Lucknow Super Giants in their opening game. Both teams will face each other on March 28 in IPL 2024.
Pant made his comeback in the first match for the DC. He seemed a bit rusty and out of form, scoring only 18 runs from 13 balls. Despite this, Pant managed to hit 2 boundaries with a strike rate of 138.46. Although fans might have hoped for more, Pant’s brief innings brought some joy to Delhi Capitals supporters.
