Rajasthan Royals made changes in the personnel. They replaced injured Prasidh Krishna with experienced and crowd favourite South African left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj. Prasidh recently underwent surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon. He will miss the remainder of the IPL 2024 season and is currently recovering.
His replacement Maharaj has played 27 T20Is, 44 ODIs and 50 Tests. He has 237 wickets in international cricket. Additionally, he has played 159 T20s. He took 130 wickets. The experienced player can also score some handy runs down the order. RR has brought him on board for his base price of Rs 50 Lakh.
KKR Replace Injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman with Allah Ghazanfar
Injuries are hitting the franchises hard this season, but luckily they are allowed to field replacements for injured players. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) also named 16-year-old spinner Allah Ghazanfar as a replacement for the injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman, the IPL said on Thursday. The Afghan player is an off-spinner and could see little game time looking at a strong KKR bowling lineup.
Ghazanfar played in two ODIS with the Afghanistan national team. The youngster has three T20s and six List A matches experience. He has five wickets in T20 matches. He joins KKR for his base price of Rs 20 Lakh.
