  • They will face league leaders Arsenal on March 31
  • John Stones played in 14 games so far for Man City

Manchester City will play league leaders Arsenal on March 31. There is a difference of one point between the two sides and the Sunday’s blockbuster match could be a title decider one. But before the start of the match, citizens have a piece of bad news, as John Stones suffered another injury. He played in just 14 games so far for the defending champions and remained sidelined for the majority of the season due to multiple injuries only.

The centre-back lasted just nine minutes against the Red Devils before appearing to suffer a groin injury. He appeared to pick up the problem after stretching to reach the ball following a heavy touch. He beat his marker to the ball before playing a pass to Ezri Konsa, but immediately went to feel his groin. The star defender was taken off quickly.

Injured Players List Ahead of Manchester City vs Arsenal Match

There are very few times that Manchester City have felt a pinch of missing players in a match. The talented squad is stacked in every department and could bear one or two long injuries. But this time it seems different. Manchester City will be without a number of influential players, especially against Arsenal, who are on eight games winning run in the league.

The list of injured players at Man City includes John Stones, Kyle Walker, Manuel Akanji and Ederson from the defence line, while players like Kevin De Brune and Matheus Nunes are also questionable for the match against Arsenal. As for the Gunners, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are being assessed for availability. Both players missed their national side’s friendly matches. While Timber is certain to miss the match, Mikel Arteta could expect central defender Gabriel back for the game.
